A Request from Tojoen
Thank you very much for your interest in our café, Tojoen, among the many cafés and coffee shops out there.
We are also deeply grateful to those who have taken the time to visit us, despite any inconveniences caused by our location or setup.
Today, we would like to kindly ask for your consideration regarding one matter: photography within the café.
At Tojoen, we have built and designed everything in the space with our own hands.
Therefore, it is truly an honor to have our café chosen as a subject for photography.
We are often moved by the unique perspectives and wonderful sense of aesthetics that our guests bring to their photographs—it brings us great joy as the owners of the café.
That said, we are, first and foremost, a café.
We strive to provide a comfortable and peaceful space for everyone.
Even if unintentional, there is always the possibility that other guests may appear in your photos.
Some customers may feel uneasy or self-conscious, wondering if they might have been caught in a picture.
Therefore, we kindly ask that you remain mindful of those around you when taking photos.
Additionally, we believe that you, our guest, are the star of the café.
We, the staff, wish to remain in the background, like stagehands quietly supporting the show.
We would appreciate it if you could avoid capturing staff in your photos as well.
Lastly, regarding video recording:
Due to its nature, video makes it even more likely that other customers will appear in the footage.
For this reason, we humbly ask that you refrain from taking videos while at our café.
We understand this may seem like a lot to ask, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
With warm regards,
The Owner of Tojoen
